Covered Porch Roof Systems:
Patio Covers by Crown Sunrooms can be an excellent alternative to traditional stick framing a Patio Cover or patio roof. Three and Four inch roofing systems are available in white. The roofing system consists of a “c” channel bolted to the existing home overhang or wall. Next, proper post footings are installed to local building code unless there are existing footings to use and they are approved by a building official. Aluminum posts are bolted to the top of the pier, then they are bolted to a horizontal super beam that spans the entire eave edge of the Patio Covers. The roof is bolted down to the beam in four foot increments. These systems can be designed to withstand a 120mph wind uplift.
Cathedral Porch Roofs
Patio Covers can be built with a vaulted ceiling. The ceiling height is only limited by the existing homes roof lines. When Jack’s builds Patio Covers withe cathedral ceilings, the homeowner usually has a ceiling fan mounted on the beam in the center of the peak. The beam can be covered with white aluminum to match the roof or with cedar for an accent.
Patio Covers For Carports
Patio Covers can also be converted to a carport using the same type of materials and installation methods that porch roofs require. Crown Patio Covers have also been used in residential and commercial applications for boat lifts, store front roofs, guard booths, and storage areas.
A very attractive alternative to Patio Covers is Jack’s vinyl Pergolas. There are several color options, and installation will only take a few hours.
